Empirical research
A team of researchers, practitioners, and companies in the building industry conducts all projects.
The knowledge that we accumulate at the Center does not offer closed answers and ready-made solutions to what the industry should do differently compared to present practice. Neither can research-based knowledge replace or render superfluous experience-based knowledge in the industry, but is intended to inspire actors in the industry to interpret their experiences in new ways and to look for new action possibilities. As a result they should be better equipped for managing the many challenges and difficulties they are facing in practice.
The knowledge of the Center should be understood in the sense of oxygen for an industry the problematic practice of which so far has been characterized in relation to an ideal image, which has only contributed to prolong and strengthen the problems.
