Research
In general, I am interested in anthropology of organizations and technology. That includes, the study of cooperative work and its coordination, material artifacts, networks, infrastructure, causation, etc. as social and material practice. I study these practices, from which I aim to deduce theoretical and methodological challenges and issues. I study such practices through ethnographic fieldwork in the construction industry. The methodological challenge is to ‘follow the artifacts’, mainly drawings and descriptions, and track their effects and transformations. The theoretical challenge is to find a fruitful ordering perspective for the empirical observations that in turn may inform the practical endevours of the construction industry.
