I am interested in how management technologies, such as Lean Construction, Balanced Scorecard, and Total Quality Management both solve and create a range of managerial problems.
How are managers to use and evaluate these tools? Often the criterion is not the ideal, since this rarely describes and treats the existing problems that managers in practice are facing. But if we can’t use the ideal as the criterion for guiding managers in using and evaluating tools, what then? How can we alternatively work with and use these management technologies?
I am MSc in financial management and have taught MSc-student and HD-students Lean Production and financial management. Prior to my PhD study I worked as controller/economist in a company owned by Mærsk.
